Hakka & Tea Culture

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

 

This 2 night - 3 day experience brings you among the Hakka community of Hekeng village in Fujian province. Known for it's earth buildings (Tulou's) and tea culture, this village offers a great base for further exploration of this distinct area.

DAY 1

  • Morning - Get picked up by a villager who takes you straight to our house.
​
  • Lunch - Dajie, the house cook, will prepare a local vegetarian meals on arrival**
​

  • Afternoon - After you've settled in feel free to choose any of the available local activities that you're interested in (a list with local activities can be found in the the guest manual)

​

  • Dinner - Dajie will prepare a local vegetarian meal**

​

  • Enjoy the privacy of your quiet house or feel free to mingle with villagers.

DAY 2
​
  • Morning - After a breakfast (mix between western and Chinese) feel free to choose any of the available local activities that you're interested in. (Recommended is going on an early hike up into the secluded mountains)
​
  • Lunch - Dajie, the house cook, will prepare a local vegetarian meals on arrival
​
  • Afternoon - Rest around the house/village or if your energy level allows choose any of the available local activities that you're interested in.

​

  • Dinner - Dajie will prepare a local vegetarian meal (meat options include fish and chicken which has to be ordered in advance)

​

  • Enjoy the privacy of your quiet house or feel free to mingle with villagers.
DAY 3
​
  • Morning - After a breakfast (mix between western and Chinese) feel free to choose any of the available local activities that you're interested in. (Recommended is going on an early hike up into the secluded mountains)
​
  • Lunch - Dajie will prepare lunch at her house.
​
  • After lunch the same driver will pick you up at the house to bring you to your next destination ( Xiamen area)

  • 1-2 person group:  $295 usd (bare price***) + 20% (package/service fee) = $350 usd

  • 3-4 person group: $480 usd (bare price***) + 20% (package/service fee) = $575 usd

  • 5-6 person group: $775 usd (bare price***) + 20% (package/service fee) = $925 usd

  • 7-8 person group: $960 usd (bare price***) + 20% (package/service fee) = $1150 usd
